Economic Commission summarizes 2024

4,500 price negotiations and 54 meetings resulted - it was a busy year for the Economic Commission. 86% of reimbursement requests resulted in a price agreement at the Commission level.
In addition, a dedicated website for EC activities was created in 2024, where minutes of divergence, meeting reports and work schedules are regularly published. In turn, the amendment to the Reimbursement Law has had the positive effect of changing the optics of submitting final price offers by reducing the negotiation pool at both the EC and Minister of Health levels.

The Economic Commission is a team that conducts price negotiations with applicants for reimbursement of drugs, foodstuffs for special nutritional purposes and medical devices. The Commission, in accordance with Article 17(2) of the Law of May 12, 2011 on the Reimbursement of Drugs, Foodstuffs for Special Nutritional Purposes and Medical Devices, has 20 members, including 14 representatives of the Ministry of Health and six representatives of the President of the National Health Fund.
