The marketing of Strepsils with honey and lemon tablets Strepsils with honey and lemon - (Alcohol 2,4-dichlorobenzylicus + Amylmetacresolum), 1.2 mg + 0.6 mg, hard lozenges, pack of 12, GTIN 05909990192434) has been halted nationwide. - with batch number RT019. The GIF received a notification regarding the presence of an impurity of unknown origin. Strepsils with honey and lemon is a drug for the symptomatic treatment of inflammation of the mouth and throat. It has antibacterial and antiviral effects.
The decision includes:

- Cause: suspected contamination in one of the packages.

The Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector has received a patient notification regarding suspected non-compliance with the quality requirements of the medicinal product Strepsils with honey and lemon (Alcohol 2,4-dichlorobenzylicus + Amylmetacresolum), 1.2 mg + 0.6 mg, hard lozenges, pack of 12, batch number: RT019, expiration date : 30.11.2026 due to the presence in the blister cavity, contamination of unknown origin and nature. The decision was given the order of immediate enforceability.
