Sanofi Introduces New Brand and Corporate Logo

Sanofi has unveiled a new unified corporate brand. This is the effect of the transformation initiated in December 2019.

Over the past 50 years, Sanofi has grown to become a global market leader in biopharmaceutical companies, with a rich legacy of scientific discoveries focused on improving the quality of life of patients. The scientific vision of the company has resulted in the discovery of many breakthrough and innovative therapies, including in the treatment of rare diseases and the creation of standards for the treatment of diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Sanofi's commitment to improving public health each year helps protect hundreds of millions of people from influenza, has contributed to the near-total eradication of polio, and the company's scientific vision has resulted in ground-breaking innovation in treatments for inflammatory disease.

Coming from different companies, Sanofi today is an amalgamation of many cultures, identities and brands. The new, unified image of the company is deeply rooted in this heritage and, for the first time, it is combining its diverse history into one common identity.

- At the threshold of half a century of our company's existence, we undertook the most important transformation and modernization in our history. In 2019, we launched our Play to Win strategy, which focuses on leveraging our innovation platform to discover and produce the latest and best-in-class drugs and vaccines. Our new brand is a natural and important step forward on this journey and reflects the consistent way the company works to fulfill our shared ambition to change the face of medicine, says Paul Hudson, CEO of Sanofi.

The previous names of business units included in the company, i.e. Sanofi Pasteur and Sanofi Genzyme, dedicated to vaccines and highly specialized drugs, respectively, like all other brands taken over by the company - from now on will appear under one consistent name - Sanofi. Thinking, acting and functioning as one entity, with a new, shared purpose and identity, by using more strategically the resources of the company as a whole, will allow Sanofi to better respond to patients' needs by delivering breakthrough therapies.

The new logo reflects Sanofi's new purpose and ambition and is inspired by the simple and movement-oriented code that is characteristic of the tech industry. The two purple dots symbolize the scientific journey between the starting point - curiosity and a willingness to question the status quo and the "what if?" - and the finish line - that is, the moment of discovering innovative therapeutic solutions that have an impact on human life.
