Announcement: "Solidarity in Health".

Loneliness, illness, home budget problems of seniors, health challenges of those most "fragile" also children and immune-compromised people, are the issues on which invited guests will lean on July 4: clinicians, ethicists, economists, politicians and patients themselves.
The main goal of the campaign "Women's Power. Women's Health - Family Security" is to identify the scale of the most important health problems of Poles, as well as to direct public attention to the importance of education and prevention in the fight against diseases of civilization.
In terms of health and lifestyle, women, more often than men, use preventive examinations, avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. They form positive assessments of their health less often than men, and more often evaluate it negatively. With age, the gap in health assessments widens to the disadvantage of women. The onus is on them to take care of other family members, including seniors. The problem becomes even greater as the number of elderly people increases. The lack of adequate access to medical and nursing care for seniors requires special attention and concern.
Issues addressed during the debate include:
- The challenges of urology and urooncology for seniors;
- Counteracting obesity in seniors;
- Prevention and treatment of senior depression;
- Age and pelvic floor disease;
- The scale of progress in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases;
- Multimorbidity in a senior citizen with cancer;
- The need for public empathy and acceptance of the hardships of rare disease patients;
- taboo topics of procreative health;
- vaccinations for the immunocompetent;
- The system's challenges to patients with autoinflammatory diseases;
- Every stage of life without pain;
- mental health challenges of the youngest.
Time: Thursday, July 4, 2024.
