Fire in a hospital in Wołomin

A fire broke out in the storage rooms in the basement of the Hospital of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Wołomin, reports TVN Warszawa. One of the units had to be evacuated. One person was poisoned by carbon monoxide.

"There was a minor incident this morning. In the renovated room in the hospital's basement, employees noticed smoke and the fire brigade was called. The situation was quickly brought under control. This event did not affect the work of the hospital or the safety of patients and hospital employees,” we read on the hospital's social media profile.

Jan Sobków, spokesman for the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Wołomin, told TVN journalists that one person was injured. He's a member of the hospital staff who tried to put out the fire before we arrived. He had carbon monoxide poisoning.
