Flood 2024: If someone needs help, that medical help is already there

- After a night operation to strengthen the embankments with helicopters, Nysa defended itself. It was a great commitment of all forces and resources. We thank all the residents, all the people of goodwill who are helping today and rescued then. Thank you to all the volunteers, the services, all those who are in action all the time. Thank you very much to the doctors and nurses, because we mention many circles, but medicine and the military and civilian is mobilized, involved. If someone needs help, it is this initial help, but also of a specialized nature, of course, wound supplies. There are already the first admitted patients," informed the head of the Ministry of Defense.

The head of the Ministry of Defense recalled that parallel to the rescue efforts will be tasks related to the cleanup and reconstruction of flood-affected areas.

- The Chief of the General Staff has launched Operation Phoenix. It's a multi-stage reconstruction, cleaning up post-flood sites, restoring them to usability and normalcy. We will be here until life returns to normalcy," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The head of the Ministry of Defense also reported on the activities carried out by the services in Glucholazy.

- The Glucholazy bridge will be rebuilt in the next few days. One and the other. We already have engineering troops there. The clearing of the area is underway. Preparing this space to put up the bridge and this is the most difficult stage," the minister stressed.
