There has been an increased incidence of blood cancers for several decades, the Health Ministry reminds us. In Poland, as in other European countries, the demand for hematology health services is steadily increasing. What needs and expectations does this raise?

Among other things, Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna discussed this with Prof. Ewa Lech-Marańda, national consultant in hematology.

It turns out that the most urgent expectations from hematological care are first of all the availability of diagnostics and modern treatments in the reimbursed area (pharmacotherapy and HSCT). In the opinion of clinicians, organizational solutions are also needed to ensure comprehensive and coordinated hematological care between centers in Poland. The possibility, expected by the community, of monitoring hematological diagnosis and treatment is also not without significance.
