State Sanitary Inspectorate is now 70 years old

The Chief Sanitary Inspector, Dr. Pawel Grzesiowski, in a speech to employees and invited guests, stressed that the role of the State Sanitary Inspectorate is to point out the right health choices.
Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health Wojciech Konieczny, who was present at the ceremony, stressed that the State Sanitary Inspection is an institution whose importance cannot be overestimated.
- You are an important part of health care, without which the system would degrade," the deputy health minister said, addressing the inspection staff.
- My entire medical life has been spent dealing with the Sanitary Inspectorate. It has always been an institution you can rely on, professional but also kind," he added.
Janusz Dzisko, the Warmian-Masurian State Regional Sanitary Inspector, recalled the history of the State Sanitary Inspection. He acquainted the attendees with the cross-section of activities and achievements of the State Sanitary Inspection.
Public health work from the perspective of the District Sanitary Inspector was presented by Dr. Aneta Mrugala, State District Inspector in Gliwice.
Professor Maciej Grzybek, MD, of the Medical University of Gdansk, talked about the challenges in One Health public health.
At the end of the Congress, Chief Sanitary Inspector Dr. Pawel Grzesiowski stressed the importance of the challenges facing modern sanitary services. At the same time, he presented a vision for the development of the State Sanitary Inspection.
During the ceremony, the most distinguished people in public health received badges of honor from the Minister of Health "For meritorious service to health care." The badges were presented by: Wojciech Konieczny, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Paweł Grzesiowski Chief Sanitary Inspector.
Congress participants had the opportunity to hear the winners of the Health Song Festival. The festival is a health-promoting competition that has a tradition of more than 30 years in the Mazovia region.

The main objective of the Sanitary Inspectorate is to protect human health from the harmful effects of environmental factors and prevent the emergence of diseases, including infectious and occupational diseases. Tasks with the participation of 16 provincial, 318 district and 9 border sanitary-epidemiological stations, employing nearly 17 thousand employees.
