The Gedeon Richter brand has been taking care of women's health for more than 120 years. It has been present in Poland for more than three decades and specializes in, among other things, hormonal therapies such as contraception, treatment of infertility, menopause symptoms, uterine myomas and others. However, the production of medicines alone is not enough, the company also tries to support women by dedicating unique educational and image campaigns to them. One of these is precisely the Artistic Calendar, which has been published regularly for 14 years. - This unique publication is a force in itself. Its mission from the beginning has been to turn its eyes to women, in the context of their fundamental role in the modern world. As a leader and expert in the field of women's health, we feel obligated to spread awareness about their health and prevention. The Art Calendar reaches a well-defined audience, including opinion leaders from the world of medicine, pharmacy or policymakers. Our goal is to draw their attention to the need to care for women's health and seek solutions to make their daily lives easier ," explains Director of Corporate Affairs and External Relations of Gedeon Richter Poland Aneta Grzegorzewska, who is both a sponsor and patron of the project, " Art is an extremely effective carrier of educational content, especially when it takes on an applied form, which is what our calendar is. It not only inspires, but combines education and beauty in a practical message that draws attention to what is really important - women's health and daily support. - Aneta Grzegorzewska adds.
The artistic director of the project since the first edition is the excellent graphic designer Andrzej Pągowski. This time he invited two female artists to work with him, with whom he created a collection of artworks called "Elements of Women." The latest edition of the Art Calendar again fascinates and reminds us of such an important role of women.
Four elements
Women are colorful, full of contradictions, passionate and often able to sacrifice much to fight for their loved ones and themselves. They are certainly extremely diverse, like fire, water, earth and air. Therefore, it is these four elements that perfectly reflect the uniqueness of women's nature and became the inspiration for the 14th edition of the Artistic Calendar. - The Water woman is emotional, intuitive, empathetic. She can easily adapt to her surroundings and other people. Her sensuality and creativity often make her an artistic soul. Her highly developed empathy, allows her to perfectly understand the emotions of others. She can inspire and support in difficult moments," says Agnieszka Boryś PR Manager of Gedeon Richter Poland, " Woman Fire is passionate, energetic, courageous. She is full of enthusiasm and zeal for action. She often takes risks and pursues her dreams. Her determination makes her achieve her goals. The Air woman is, communicative, creative. She often analyzes the world around her in depth. She has an open mind and can look at situations from different perspectives. She easily establishes relationships and can be an excellent conversationalist. The Earth woman is stable, practical, sensual. She is a person who can be counted on. She is grounded, pragmatic and values security and tradition. Often connected to nature. She can provide support," Agnieszka Boryś concludes.
A unique collection of artworks
The Art Calendar's uniqueness and limited availability make it more prestigious every year. In itself, it has also become an extraordinary collection of mini artworks. This time Andrzej Pągowski invited two artists to collaborate: Joanna Szumska and Renata Magda, who together with him created visualizations of the elements: water, air, fire and earth. - In difficult and troubled times, we often look to the past, drawing patterns from past traditions to help us function in the present. That's why this year we decided to choose a theme that has been associated with cycles of passing and rebirth for centuries: the elements. This concept originated in antiquity, and is found in cultures ranging from European to Chinese to Japanese and Hindu, its multifaceted spectrum of meaning opens up possibilities for depicting ideas, emotions and the meaning of life. In each element, opposites coexist and complement each other perfectly. Therefore, the association of the four elements with the nature of a woman is obvious to me, because the female nature is full of contradictions, which, however, form a harmonious whole. Our elements are women, full of passion, charm, confidence, hope and fulfillment. Each artist could present his vision for each of the four elements," says the artistic director of the project, Andrzej Pągowski. As a result, we can admire different interpretations, as well as get to know the style of each artist. This makes the release once again positively surprising and inspiring.
