(April Fool's Day 2023). Doctors, nurses, paramedics and medical journalists - in fact, most of our society - pride themselves on their extensive knowledge of numerous medical conditions and their accompanying symptoms. However, even the most experienced may be surprised to read the list we have prepared. Stay informed and keep an open mind, because you don't know the day or the hour.
5 conditions you've never heard of, but may have them - Header image

  1. BBB - diarrhea without diarrhea. It has probably been experienced by everyone. A storm in the intestines, cramping pains, pushing... And then nothing. Relief, a return to interrupted activities. A moment of peace and all over again. The duration of the disease varies from one episode to long months of intestinal roller-coaster.
  2. NNZO - paroxysmal nocturnal reorientation. An insidious disorder that attacks suddenly in the dark. It usually gets people staying overnight in non 1-bed rooms during business trips. The (fine) literature also describes a case involving American high-altitude sheep herders. Although the condition more often affects women, the course in men is more severe, more violent, more painful and the complications more dangerous.
  3. SPB - morning stork syndrome. In Podlasie it is almost an epidemic, but throughout Poland the number of cases is growing day by day. However, it is still not a WHO-recognized disease entity. People with SPB just after waking up stand next to the bed on one leg, the other bending at the knee at a 90° angle. Their arms, straight at the elbows, spread out to the sides in the fashion of bird wings. Remaining motionless in this position, they await the appearance of the first gentle muscle tremors. The strength of these tremors, they claim, is inversely correlated with the amount of love they will receive from their fellow humans on a given day.
  4. ZNE - shy Etteruot syndrome. The peculiar opposite of the well-known Tourette's syndrome. Patients are unable to spew a curse word when the situation calls for it. Their professional, social and family positions suffer. They can forget about a career in politics, even at the municipal government level.
  5. ZTNO - weight loss syndrome on Ozempic. This is the youngest and most elite of the diseases on our list. It occurs about people who want to - at the same time - set new trends and go against them, and are fully aware of neither. In the most severe cases, up to 10 kg of weight gain has been observed within a month of taking the famous drug.
