Such births are rare. On Monday, October 28, at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at USK2 PUM in Szczecin, a delivery of a baby boy, who came into the world in an amniotic sac, was taken by cesarean section.

- This is a very rare method, only used for a few years. In short: The doctor incised the abdominal skin transversely and the abdominal shells longitudinally. This reduced the invasiveness and pain. Mom used muscle power to push the baby out into the world. Of course, doctors helped at the last moment," explains Mateusz Iżakowski, spokesman for USK2 PUM in Szczecin.

It is usually the case that even before delivery the amniotic sac ruptures and then it is said that the woman's waters "broke". In this case, there was no mention of this. Importantly, both mother and boy are feeling well and will soon leave the walls of the hospital.

- Such deliveries are a great opportunity for mothers who want to give birth by natural forces, but for various reasons doctors decide to have a cesarean section. Thanks to this method, the baby comes into the world almost without outside help. This has a very positive effect on the psyche of the patient, as it makes the child, in a way, leave the mother's womb by its own efforts," the spokesman adds.
