The necessity to introduce changes results from the entry into force on April 6, 2022 of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of March 30, 2022 amending the regulation on specialization in areas applicable to health care (Journal of Laws, item 744), which introduced a new specialization in the field of addiction psychotherapy.
Taking into account the range of knowledge and skills of specialists in the field of psychotherapy, the regulation must be supplemented with persons holding the title of specialist in this field. In view of the above, it is proposed to reword § 3 para. 1 of the regulation, supplementing this provision with specialists in the field of addiction psychotherapy and changing the wording of this provision, which will improve its readability. A new wording of § 5 para. 1 of the regulation, indicating that an opinion on alcohol dependence may be issued jointly by a psychiatrist and a specialist in the field of addiction psychotherapy, after the conducted research.
