The President of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives, Mariola Lodzinska, has expressed sharp opposition and indignation over the situation of nurses at one of Rzeszow's medical centers. A request has been sent to the Commission on Medical Ethics of the Supreme Medical Council to deal with the case of the medical center manager.

Recall, this is a situation in which female employees of the medical center (nurses, registrars and laboratory workers) were offered by the CEO to work after hours as waitresses at banquets for doctors. Moreover, the boss wrote in a message to them that perhaps "one of them will find a husband among these young doctors."
A letter signed by the president of the NRPiP Mariola Łodzińska was immediately sent to the head of CM Medyk in Rzeszów with a sharp objection to the situation and the use of bullying and sexism, as well as a reminder of the competence of nurses and midwives.
" I express my opposition and utmost indignation regarding the offer to take "extra" work that you directed to nurses. By directing the offer to selected professional groups and indicating the gender of potential candidates, but also by suggesting extra-curricular conditions for taking the job, you have shown disrespect for our work as medical professionals and humiliated us as women," writes Mariola Lodzinska.
"I am all the more surprised by your words, because you are a doctor, and as a medic you should know the competence of nurses and know that their work in the system is indispensable. Together with other medics: doctors, laboratory diagnosticians, physiotherapists, pharmacists, we form therapeutic teams that work for the benefit of the patient, often saving life and health. There is no equal and more equal," adds the NRPP president.
As announced, a letter has also been sent to the Chairman of the Medical Ethics Committee of the Supreme Medical Council.
