Extraordinary congress of physiotherapists: change in the position of president of the CRF

The post of president was assumed by Agnieszka Stępień, PhD.
The Extraordinary National Convention of Physiotherapists was held on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Delegates from all over the country first voted on a motion to dismiss the current president of the National Council of Physiotherapists, Dr. Tomasz Dybek (179 people voted in favor of the dismissal, 79 against and 3 abstentions).
After a quorum was established, the chairman, vice-chairman and secretaries of the convention were elected, as well as members of the scrutiny committee and the resolutions and motions committee. Then five candidates for the post of president were put forward: Agnieszka Krawętkowska, Jacek Łuniewski, Agnieszka Stępień, Rafał Trąbka and Ernest Wisniewski. Each of them presented their vision of the development of physiotherapy and the activities of the National Council of Physiotherapists. After the presentations, Agnieszka Krawętkowska withdrew her candidacy.
In the first round of voting, none of the candidates obtained the required majority. Dr. Agnieszka Stępień and Dr. Rafał Trąbka advanced to the second round. In the end, the winner was Agnieszka Stępień, Ph.D., winning 143 votes against 129 cast for the challenger.
The new KRF president will serve until May 22, 2026, when the Third National Convention of Physiotherapists begins.
