More than 6200 residency places in autumn recruitment for specialties

There are 6262 residency spots and 10,118 non-residency spots available in this proceeding. That's more than 2,000 more residency spots than in last year's fall recruitment.

The application must be submitted between September 1 and 30, 2023, with an indication of no more than 15 selection variants (each variant must indicate the field, province and mode of specialization). For each selection variant, the doctor may indicate in preferred order no more than 3 units.

Formal evaluation of applications, assignment of a percentage of points and confirmation of the correctness of the data contained in the application, is carried out by October 31 this year by the governor in charge of the first option.

Once the application has been formally evaluated and points assigned, the application will be made available to the doctor through the Educational Monitoring System (CMS). The doctor may raise objections to the data contained in the application within 2 days from the date the application is made available in the SCM. If objections are not raised within 2 days, errors in the data indicated in the application and in the scoring assigned may not be the basis for verification of the competitive procedure.

Publication of ranking lists will take place in the SCM within 7 days after the completion of formal evaluation of all applications, i.e. by November 7 this year.

The final lists of qualified and unqualified physicians will be immediately published in the SCM and on the websites of the qualifying authorities.

CMKP notes that an additional third stage of the qualification procedure may be held in this 2023 qualification procedure. In the event that after the announcement of the final lists of qualified and unqualified physicians for specialty training there remain unused residency positions, the Minister of Health may decide to conduct an additional stage of the qualification procedure.

Doctors who are not qualified for specialty training in a given qualification procedure, who indicated at least one choice option covering a priority field of medicine in the residency mode and were not qualified for this option in either the first or second stage of the qualification procedure, shall participate in the additional stage of the qualification procedure.
