MZ: It will be easier to specialize in these areas

The proposed regulation implements the delegation contained in Art. 16x paragraph 1 of the Act of December 5, 1996 on the professions of doctor and dentist and implements changes in the recruitment and implementation of specialization training for doctors and dentists and obtaining the title of specialist, introduced by the Act of July 16, 2020 amending the Act on the professions of physician and dentists dentist and some other acts (Journal of Laws, item 1291, as amended), which entered into force on August 1, 2022, including, in particular, new rules for recruitment for medical and dental specializations.
The introduced regulations will enable doctors with the title of specialist in pediatric gastroenterology to undergo specialist training in the field of transplantology and will enable doctors with the title of specialist in the field of pediatrics to undergo specialist training in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, on the basis of a shortened program of specialization that takes into account knowledge and skills which the pediatrician already has.
It is also proposed to set the remuneration of the chairman of the examination team conducting the State Specialization Examination, hereinafter referred to as "PES", at PLN 500 and the remuneration of the member of the examination team conducting the PES at PLN 300.
