MZ: Limits of specialty places for nurses and midwives for 2026.

The Ministry of Health published an announcement on December 2, 2025, specifying funding rules and the number of places available for specialty training for nurses and midwives in 2026.
According to the announcement, the minimum number of training places for nurses and midwives beginning their specialization in 2026 will be 1,500, a number that the ministry stresses is intended to guarantee a stable supply of specialized staff to the health care system.
The maximum amount of funding for one training place was also determined, which in 2026 will be PLN 4,000. This means that training providers can count on partial coverage of the costs of specialization training, in accordance with the adopted financial limits.
A total of PLN 10,000,000 will be allocated for specialty training of nurses and midwives in 2026. These are funds to support the development of professional competence and enable specialization in key areas of the system.
The proclamation enters into force on the date of publication.
