A total of 3905 formally correct applications were submitted in the spring qualification procedure for specialty training in 2025. More than 3,000 doctors qualified.
There are results of the first stage of spring recruitment for specialties

According to the results of the first stage of recruitment, published in the Education Monitoring System (SMK), 3043 people were qualified, including:
- 2070 people in residency mode,
- 973 people in non-residential mode.

This year's proceedings were available:
- 4263 residency specialty positions,
- 7227 seats in non-residential mode.
Each doctor submitting an application was allowed to indicate up to 15 choices (covering field, province and mode of training), and within each choice - up to 3 preferred training units.

Phase I of the proceedings - what next?
After the publication of the ranking lists, the doctor has 5 days to confirm acceptance of the designated training place through the SCM. Failure to confirm means resignation from the allocated place and participation in the next qualification stage.
Phase II of the proceedings
Doctors who were not qualified in the first stage or did not confirm their acceptance of a place will be considered for the second stage, the results of which will be announced the day after the place confirmation process is completed. Again, doctors have 5 days to confirm their acceptance of a place. Failure to confirm means cancellation of further participation, unless a third stage is announced.
Possible stage III of the proceedings
If, after the second stage, there are still residency vacancies (only in priority fields), the Minister of Health may announce an additional stage of the qualification procedure.
Only doctors who:
- They were not qualified in previous stages,
- They indicated at least one option involving a residency mode and a priority field, and were not qualified for it or did not confirm their acceptance.
The decision to conduct the third stage will be announced within 5 days after the publication of the final lists of qualified and unqualified applicants.
