There is no consensus among doctors that a man with no medical knowledge or training should not only treat patients, but also, without consequence, make statements that undermine patients' trust in doctors. The president of the Regional Medical Council in Szczecin, Michal Bulsa, decided to write a letter to the Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar, asking him to intervene.

- We do not feel satisfied with the way the Health Ministry has responded to our calls for them to be more proactive on the subject of stopping the exposure of paramedical content. Minister Leszczyna and Prime Minister Donald Tusk should speak out clearly on this issue and say that there will be no mercy for those who knowingly mislead patients and pose a real threat to their lives. The current situation, in the opinion of doctors, is no longer tenable, and we expect decisive action," says Michal Bulsa, president of the Regional Medical Council in Szczecin.
Doctors are outraged by videos shared on social media by naturopathic guru Jerzy Zieba. The content shared by this man on social media is harmful to patients, has not an ounce of scientific knowledge in it, and slanders doctors. Such content undermines trust in medical authorities.
What does Ziemba say in one of his recent recordings? Among other things, he refers to the high-profile publications of editor Michal Janczura about healers and naturopaths:
"People are dying, Poles are dying, at a time when they can be treated. And that doesn't make Mr. Janczura wonder. Tiny children are dying. I dare say: killed by doctors, killed children."
According to the president of the Regional Medical Council in Szczecin, Michal Bulsa, the words of Jerzy Zięba should be analyzed by the Ministry of Justice.
- These words are crossing all boundaries. Doctors kill children? It is incomprehensible that in the current legal system we have allowed people like Mr. Zięba to have the right with impunity to insult people of public trust who save the lives of others on a daily basis. I demand that the Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar take a stand on this issue and initiate concrete actions to punish a man who is engaged in spreading lies and putting patients at risk of losing their lives," says Michał Bulsa, president of the Regional Medical Council in Szczecin.
- The cultivation of joyful journalism by Mr. Zieba must be blocked. It's not a matter of our "seeing," but that it is a real threat to the people who listen to this content and are willing to forgo treatment because they believed his outrageous words. A country that allows sick people to be manipulated is a weak country. We renew our appeal to Prime Minister Tusk, Minister Leszczyny and Minister Bodnar. It is time to act," says Michal Bulsa.
