The Ministry of Health appoints a team to develop changes in the training standards of nurses and midwives

The team consists of:
1) Chairman - dr hab. n. for health Mariola Głowacka, prof. Masovian Public University, prof. Nicolaus Copernicus University, chairman of the National Accreditation Council of Schools of Nurses and Midwives;
2) Deputy chairman - prof. dr hab. n. med. Maria Kózka, Vice-Dean for Didactic Affairs at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Jagiellonian University, Collegium Medicum; 3) Members:
a) Edyta Gadomska, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Personnel Development in the Ministry of Health,
b) Ewa Majsterek, head of the Department of Education of Nurses and Midwives at the Department of Medical Personnel Development in the Ministry of Health,
c) Piotr Kowalski, head of the Department of Medical Affairs at the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education and Science,
d) a representative of the National Accreditation Council for Schools of Nurses and Midwives,
e) national consultant in the field of gynecological and obstetric nursing, f) representative of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives,
g) representative of the Polish Nursing Society,
h) representative of the Polish Society of Midwives,
i) a representative of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Medical Universities,
j) a representative of the Higher Medical Education Committee of the Students' Parliament of the Republic of Poland;
The tasks of the Team include the development of a proposal for an amendment to the regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of July 26, 2019 on training standards for the profession of a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, nurse, midwife, laboratory diagnostician, physiotherapist and paramedic ( Journal of Laws of 2021, item 755 and of 2022, item 157) in the scope of training standards preparing to work as a nurse and midwife, including in particular:
1) review and presentation of proposed changes to the set of learning outcomes in terms of knowledge and skills in terms of adjusting them to the current needs of the labor market,
2) further specification of professional competences of graduates of first and second cycle studies,
3) developing proposals for changes in individual groups of classes focused on classes that develop practical skills, including practical classes and apprenticeships - taking into account the requirements contained in Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of September 7, 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications (Journal of Laws UE L 255 of 30 September 2005, p. 22, as amended2)).
