The number of children with stomas is growing

- Year after year, the number of stomas being removed in children is increasing: in newborns due to undeveloped rectums, and in teenagers, for example, due to Crohn's disease. These are life-saving situations.
- A stoma should not be a taboo subject. A child should know why a friend or dad has a pouch on his stomach," explains Marzena Kluszczynska, who conducts educational activities in schools and kindergartens.
