President Andrzej Duda signed into law the Act of December 5, 2024, amending the Law on Professional and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities. The main purpose of the amendment is to increase monthly wage subsidies for disabled employees, financed by the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.

Changes in subsidy amounts
Monthly wage subsidy for a disabled employee, will be entitled to the amount:
1) PLN 2760 (previously PLN 2400) - in the case of disabled persons classified as having a significant degree of disability;
2) PLN 1550 (previously PLN 1350) - for disabled persons classified as having a moderate degree of disability;
3) PLN 575 (previously PLN 500) - for disabled persons classified as having a light degree of disability.
The amounts of the increase, the subsidy to the salary of a disabled employee, for disabled persons who have been diagnosed with mental illness, mental retardation, holistic developmental disorders or epilepsy, and the blind, will also change:
1) PLN 1,380 (previously PLN 1,200) - for disabled persons classified as having a significant degree of disability;
2) PLN 1035 (previously PLN 900) - for disabled persons classified as having a moderate degree of disability;
3) PLN 690 (previously PLN 600) - for disabled persons classified as having a light degree of disability.
Proposal revisions from January 2025.
Employers who have already received funding for the period from July 2024 can submit corrections to their applications to PFRON. As of January 1, 2025, higher amounts will be allowed to be included in the documentation.
Changes in subsidies to PFRON
The amended law also changes the provisions regarding the amount of subsidies from the state budget to PFRON. The previous fixed subsidy amount of 30% of planned funds has been replaced with a flexible value of "up to 30%."
Effective date
The new regulations take effect the day after the law is promulgated, effective July 1, 2024. The exception is the regulations on the amount of subsidies to the PFRON, which will take effect on January 1, 2025.
