The Ministry of Health will appoint the Patient Organization Council

The tasks of the Council are:
1) coordinating the cooperation of patient organizations with the minister;
2) discussing systemic issues in health care provided by patient organizations;
3) adopting proposals for legislative changes to draft normative acts from patients' organizations in order to develop common positions and present them to the minister;
4) encouraging patient organizations to actively participate in the legislative process;
5) coordinating activities on the part of patients' organizations in the field of pre-consultation and public consultations on draft normative acts and other government documents carried out by the office supporting the minister;
6) cooperation with other councils associating patient organizations, primarily with those operating at the Patients' Rights Ombudsman and the National Health Fund.
The Council consists of no more than 15 members, appointed for a period of 5 years by the minister, from among candidates proposed by patient organizations, which:
1) they operate in the field of health protection;
2) have a nationwide range of influence;
3) have been registered for at least 5 years;
4) submit copies of statutory documents or other documents confirming that they operate in accordance with the law;
5) make a written declaration that in their actions they are guided by the values set out in the Charter of Principles of Good Patient Organization Management, hereinafter referred to as the "Charter".
