We have a new world champion in a non-Olympic discipline of receiving as many COVID-19 vaccines as possible. The record holder was the 61-year-old resident of Germany.

The man roamed the vaccination centers in the eastern federal states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Acting with remarkable audacity, he was able to get vaccinated up to three times in one day.

Though he can hardly be called an anti-vaccine, he was undoubtedly an ally against vaccination opponents. His goal was to obtain as many certificates of vaccination as possible, which he then sold to people who had no intention of getting vaccinated.

An enterprising German dropped in because he had underestimated the vigilance and good visual memory of one of the staff at the Dresden vaccination center, who became suspicious of the 61-year-old after another visit to the center and notified other vaccination centers in the area. The forewarned staff of the point in Eilenburg near Leipzig called the police when the man reported there for another dose. The officers detained. The investigation is ongoing for the trade in false covid passports.

It is unclear how many times a man actually received the coronavirus vaccine - it is known that in Saxony he was vaccinated 87 times. However, he also received vaccines in Saxony-Anhalt, and possibly in other federal states.

The whole thing painfully shows the gaps in the German health care system, in which medical information is largely neither digitized nor centrally stored. The man registered for vaccination visits using his real name, surname and date of birth. However, he did not bring his health insurance card, and this simple trick allowed him to "cheat the system" perhaps over a hundred times.

The German media did not provide detailed information about the man's health. There is no indication that anything bad is happening to him. It also seems that (at least) 87 chips in one organism have synchronized without problems and do not interfere with each other's function.
