Academic teachers awarded by health minister

The ceremony was opened by Deputy Minister of Health Katarzyna Kęcka, who drew attention to the unique role of academic teachers in the health care system.
- Today we appreciate your many years of effort. You struggle with the didactic process, with organizational challenges, but also, as medical staff, you have to constantly update and deepen your knowledge. Thank you for your contribution to the development of Polish science," she said.
The laureates were selected on the basis of applications submitted by the rectors of medical universities and the Health Minister's own applications. The evaluation process was entrusted to a team of experts, which included representatives of medical universities and the Medical Center for Postgraduate Education.
Among the awardees were both outstanding individual scientists and research teams carrying out projects of particular importance to medicine and patients. Recognized, among others, were groundbreaking research work, innovative educational methods, implementations that improve clinical practice, as well as activities that support the functioning of universities and health care institutions.
The awards were given in five categories: scientific activity, teaching activity, implementation activity, organizational activity and for lifetime achievement. The ceremony provided an opportunity to emphasize the importance of investing in the development of academic staff and strengthening the scientific community that educates future doctors and medical specialists.

AWARDS IN THE FIELD OF SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
- Team award for the team submitted by the Medical Center for Postgraduate Education in Warsaw for a series of publications in the area of pathogenesis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma, awarded:

INDIVIDUAL AWARD IN THE FIELD OF ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES
