OZZL Residents' Agreement on skyrocketing salaries of doctors

The vast majority of doctors earn much less than the amounts that are rained out in the media space," argue representatives of the OZZL Residents' Agreement, and add that media reports of high staff salaries are an attempt to divert attention from the real problems and administrative decisions that have contributed to the crisis in the system. Doctors are not responsible for funding shortfalls or misguided decisions by those in power.
The OZZL Residents' Agreement draws attention to the low level of financial outlays on health care in Poland, especially in comparison with other European Union countries. A significant increase in outlays and reorganization of the system are necessary to restore the efficiency of health care in Poland, they urge, pointing to the need to bring the Polish system in line with European standards.
Another issue is the so-called law defining minimum wages in health care, misleadingly called the "increase law." Its purpose is to ensure decent financial conditions for workers with the lowest salaries, which, however, is sometimes presented as a burden on the budget. - There is not and will not be our consent to limit minimum wages in health care," declares the Executive Board of the OZZL Residents' Agreement, pointing out that all attempts to save on medical staff salaries are unfair to employees who for years have been functioning in difficult conditions resulting from years of neglect in the Polish health care system.
