Amgen with a new CEO

On January 1 this year. Marco Forestiere has assumed the position of General Manager of Amgen in Poland. Forestiere has fifteen years of international experience in the pharmaceutical industry, gained, among others, by managing organizations in Italy, Norway, Sweden (Amgen) as well as in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the USA (other companies).
He started his career in 2001 in the telecommunications industry. He joined the pharmaceutical industry in 2006 working for Eli Lilly, where he held various positions, including corporate finance (2009) in the United States, and from 2013 - CEO in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He joined Amgen in November 2017 with responsibility for biosimilars in Italy. In 2019, he was promoted to the position of CEO of Amgen in Norway, and from 2021 also in Sweden.
Marco Forestiere holds a telecommunications engineering degree from Bologna University and an Executive MBA from Bologna Business School.
He mentions startups among his interests. In 2003, he co-founded a company in the ITC area, and in 2018 he joined an innovative startup company developing human telemetry for Formula F racing drivers.
