The Center for Medical Postgraduate Education has published a list of units providing specialty training in which there are vacancies in the fall recruitment process. A total of 6651 residency and 5427 non-residency positions are available for this year's fall recruitment.

Application deadlines and rules
Doctors interested in taking up specialization can apply from September 1 to 30, 2024. Each doctor can choose up to 15 variants, each indicating the field, province and mode of specialization. Up to three preferred training units, ranked in order of priority, can be assigned to each selection variant.
Specialties with the highest number of residency spots
The largest number of vacant residency spots (including doctoral spots) is available in the following specialties:
- Internal diseases - 621 seats
- Family medicine - 598 seats
- Pediatrics - 444 seats
- Neurology - 346 seats
- Psychiatry - 345 places
- Orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system - 285 seats
- General surgery - 272 places
- Radiology and diagnostic imaging - 268 seats
- Emergency medicine - 263 seats
- Anesthesiology and intensive care - 243 seats
Formal evaluation of the applications, including assignment of the appropriate number of points and confirmation of the correctness of the data, will be carried out by the relevant provincial governor by October 31 this year. After this evaluation, the application will be made available to the doctor in the Education Monitoring System. Within two days from the date of access, the doctor may raise objections to the data contained in the application.
Publication of ranking lists
Ranking lists will be published in the SCM within 7 days after the evaluation of all applications is completed, which will be by November 7 this year. A doctor who is shortlisted will have 5 days to confirm acceptance of the awarded specialty place through the SCM. Failure to make such confirmation will be tantamount to withdrawal from the first-stage competition and the release of the specialty place.
Second stage of recruitment
Doctors who do not confirm acceptance of a place in the first stage, as well as those who are not qualified, will be included in the second stage of the proceedings. The results of the second-stage qualification will be published the day after the confirmation of acceptance of places is completed in the SCM and on the websites of the qualification authorities. As in the first stage, doctors will have five days to confirm their acceptance of a specialty place.
