CMJ: 18 POZs and 38 hospitals with positive recommendation from the Accreditation Council

The CMJ has published an evaluation of the fulfillment of accreditation standards in hospitals and Primary Health Care units where accreditation visits were conducted in 2023.

Hospitals

In 2023, 70 accreditation visits were conducted. 68 hospitals (97%) received a score for the Ministry of Health accreditation certificate, 2 hospitals (3%) did not receive the Ministry of Health certificate.

The highest score the hospital obtained was 93%, and the lowest was 70% of meeting the requirements of the accreditation standards.

Most hospitals (38%) ranked with their score in the 80-85% range. The lowest-scoring department was "Quality Improvement and Patient Safety."

POZ facilities

Of the 66 POZ units that underwent an accreditation visit, 51 received a score that allowed for accreditation. 15 entities scored below the required criteria. As the report reads:

The highest review score obtained was 93%, and the lowest was 57% compliance with accreditation standards.

The lowest ratings were given to two departments:

• Team of Collaborators

and

• Medical Records

and in these departments the median score was 60% and 63.3%, respectively.

Most, as many as 45% of POZs scored in the 75-80% range.

The last meeting of the Accreditation Council also brought the expected recommendations for Primary Health Care facilities that underwent accreditation review in recent months (including the months of X - XII 2023).
