Recommendations for a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine include:
- receiving active cancer treatment;
- after organ transplants receiving immunosuppressive drugs or biological therapies;
- after a stem cell transplant in the last 2 years;
- with moderate to severe PIDs;
- with HIV infection;
- currently being treated with high doses of corticosteroids or other medications that may suppress the immune response.
MZ recommends administering the mRNA vaccine - Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNTech) in the full dose (30 µg) 0.3 ml or Spikevax (Moderna) in half the dose (50) as the fourth dose of the vaccine: justify; "> µg) - 0.25 ml. In addition, it was noted that the administration of Vaccine Janssen COVID-19 can only be conditional as a heterologous booster dose after primary vaccination with an additional dose made with mRNA vaccine against COVID-19 in people over 18 years of age.
Automatic issuance of a referral for vaccination with the fourth dose will be issued 150 days after the administration of the third dose - if it has been correctly noted on the vaccination card. In the absence of a referral, the decision to issue it is made by the doctor maintaining the required minimum interval.
