Fund urges signing of annexes

The president of the National Health Fund was asked by reporters how the signing of annexes (their mailing to providers ended last week) was progressing. The payer has prepared more than 31,000 of them. Nowak assured that the process is going smoothly and should accelerate after a meeting with the directors of the NFZ branches (which took place Monday afternoon).
The money needed to implement the law on minimum wages for health care workers is on the table. - Facilities that have signed the annexes will get the transfers on August 5. I encourage the others to sign them as well," the NFZ president said, estimating that the annexes are beneficial to health care providers "and there is no need to delay. - In order for the higher rates to take effect, the other party, i.e. the facility, must sign the annex and send it back to us, Nowak noted. He recalled that facilities in the hospital network have their lump sum raised without annexation.
Last week, as announced, the Fund published 11 orders of the NFZ president necessary to implement the AOTMiT recommendations. They concern changes in the financing of medical services and increases in health care salaries. The financial plan for 2025 (still unsigned by the Minister of Finance) has also been changed, which provides funds to transfer the increased funds with compensation. The Fund has increased funding for medical services by a total of nearly PLN 8.75 billion, of which PLN 6.15 billion comes from an increase in subsidies from the state budget and PLN 2.6 billion from the NFZ's reserve fund.
Will healthcare providers sign annexes? The unknown is the position of county hospitals, which a few days before Health Minister Izabela Leszczyny was dismissed from her post, sharply criticized the recommendation of the AOTMiT president and the conditions under which they will have to implement the "increase law," pointing above all to the lack of funding for contract increases.
