Where to seek medical help when we get sick or feel worse during May Day, when clinics are closed?

Night and holiday healthcare clinics

They accept patients from 6 - 8 a.m. the next day (Monday through Friday) and around the clock on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays. No referral or pre-registration is needed.

Within the framework of night and holiday health care, the doctor on duty will provide advice in an outpatient setting or by telephone, and in medically justified cases - at the place of residence or stay.

It's worth knowing that night and holiday health care includes: medical advice, nursing treatments (e.g., injections), sick leave if there are medical indications, and e-prescriptions for needed medications. However, we will not obtain a follow-up visit, in connection with previously initiated treatment, a prescription for ongoing medication in connection with a chronic disease, or a health certificate.

ED and emergency rooms

In the event of an emergency, a deterioration of a life-threatening condition, we can use hospital emergency departments or emergency rooms. Important! We report to EDs and IPs only in life-threatening conditions, just as we do when we call 999 or notify the emergency number 112.

Dental assistance

In case of a sudden toothache, we can use the dental emergency facilities (on weekdays from 7 pm to 7 am the next day, on Saturday, Sunday and holidays - round the clock).

Teleplatform of First Contact (TPK) - 800 137 200.

It is a good idea to have the number of the First Contact Teleplatform (TPK) saved in your phone - 800 137 200. This is a single, toll-free number nationwide open from 6 pm to 8 am the next day (Monday through Friday) and 24 hours a day on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, public holidays. Contacting the TPK hotline, we will receive advice from a nurse, midwife or doctor in the form of a teleportation. If medically indicated, also e-prescription, e-referral and e-release. Consultations are conducted in Polish, English, Ukrainian and sign language (sign language interpreter).
