Due to the worsening epidemic situation, the result of which is the constantly increasing number of people infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which translates into an increased number of people requiring isolation, it is justified to increase the number of isolatories operating so far.

Changing the wording of the provision of § 3 para. 13 made in this ordinance is intended to enable the current adjustment of the number of isolatories established in a given voivodeship to the current epidemic situation, so as to provide the necessary care for people infected with SARSCoV-2 virus.

Another change introduced by this ordinance is aimed at increasing the availability of SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics by introducing the possibility of performing antigen tests in generally accessible pharmacies.

The need to expand the pharmacy's operations to perform antigen tests by pharmacists is dictated by the appearance of the Omikron coronavirus variant, which has a high infectious potential. In this case, there is a risk of the epidemic spreading rapidly and the dynamics of infections increasing.

Accordingly, it is necessary to run further test points to identify cases with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. For this purpose, new billing products were created: 99.05.0009 Performing the antigen test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus with a value of 35.83 ordered in the CeZ system; the need to report the diagnostic test result) and 99.05.0010 Antigen test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus (excluding the cost of the test) worth PLN 23.24 (includes the costs of: collecting biological material and performing the test (excluding the cost of test); only antigen tests commissioned in the CeZ system are financed; diagnostic test results must be reported). Accordingly, Annex 1 to the ordinance (Specimen of the list) was modified.
