The timetable for 2024 includes tasks that are included in the National Oncology Strategy 2020-2030 multi-year program. This primarily concerns improving the staffing situation in oncology and increasing the potential of research and innovative projects.

- In 2024, activities will be implemented to:
- Improving the staffing situation in the field of oncology;
- Increasing the capacity of scientific research and innovation projects;
- Infrastructure investments and modernization of existing treatment facilities;
- Investments in replenishing and replacing worn-out medical devices for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- Among the measures planned to improve the staffing situation in oncology is the continuation of an information and promotional campaign among medical students. This concerns the choice of oncological fields as a path for further professional development after graduation and postgraduate training.
- It is also a matter of amending the standards of college education for nursing and midwifery in a way that will guarantee the acquisition of skills related to oncology prevention and care for people during and after cancer treatment.
- The list of drugs reimbursed for oncology therapies will be systematically expanded. This will give patients better access to the latest therapies.
- A public awareness campaign will continue, with the publication of information and education materials on malignant cancer prevention in the media.
- It is planned to continue activities aimed at improving participation in screening of people, in groups eligible for screening.
- New standards will be introduced for feeding patients in oncology facilities.
- Laws will be implemented that support anti-tobacco policies.
