- We are in contact with all POZs. Doctors know how to organize it. It is so much easier because we have abolished the bureaucratic reporting requirements, among other things. Now it will look like the school principal calls and makes an appointment with the doctor, and we pay for the vaccinations and the children are vaccinated," said Izabela Leszczyna.
As she stressed, HPV vaccination is an opportunity to protect children from getting cervical cancer in the future as adults, but also a number of other cancers that depend on this pathogen. Prevention yields results, as evidenced by the fact that in countries that introduced vaccination programs many years ago, the problem of cervical cancer no longer virtually exists.
- Young doctors from other countries come to Poland to see cervical cancer. He is only in our country because we did not vaccinate against HPV. Now there is an opportunity," the Health Minister stressed.
