The Health Minister said in an interview that this is to be part of the "Conscious, Safe Me" package. She assured that she has already commissioned the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tarification to evaluate this benefit. After it receives a recommendation, the Medical Treatment Department of the Ministry of Health is to prepare such a product for the basket of guaranteed benefits. The earliest possible date for pertussis vaccination for pregnant women to be covered by reimbursement is January 2025.

Meanwhile, an electronic vaccination card is being developed in cooperation with the eHealth Center.

- It is needed for several reasons. First of all, to make life easier for doctors. Reporting on vaccinations causes a lot of bureaucratic difficulties. We will determine in which law to make changes and what the legislative path will be," pointed out Izabela Leszczyna.
