- Only 10-15 percent of doctors vaccinate against influenza. People see that doctors don't vaccinate, and if we don't set an example for them, we can't require our patients to be willing to vaccinate. The medical community, unfortunately, is a bit of a barrier when it comes to vaccination education," admits Monika Wanke-Rytt, MD, from the Department of Infectious Diseases and Pediatrics at UCK Warsaw Medical University, in an interview with Medexpress during the Vaccine Forum. - Many doctors are not familiar with the vaccination calendar for adults, which is impressive. Such doctors should probably go back to college, where little is taught about vaccinations anyway," she adds.
