The draft ordinance of the Minister of Health amending the ordinance on guaranteed services in the field of primary health care was submitted for consultation.

The draft regulation was prepared on the basis of the delegation contained in Art. 159 paragraph 2b point 1 of the Act of 27 August 2004 on health care services financed from public funds, according to which contracts for the provision of basic health care services, with the exception of night and holiday health care, contain additional funds intended to ensure coordination of care for the recipient, taking into account other scopes of benefits (entrusted budget).
The team for changes in primary health care recommended adding and financing, within the entrusted budget, the following diagnostic tests:
1. Biochemical and immunochemical tests:
1) ferritin;
2) vitamin B12;
3) folic acid;
4) anti-CCP;
5) CRP - quick quantitative test (population up to 6 years of age);
6) anti-HCV antibodies.
2. Stool tests:
1) H. pylori antigen in faeces.
3. Microbiological tests:
1) Strep-test.
It is expected that thanks to the introduced changes, primary care physicians (POZ) will be able to start treatment without the need for specialist consultations (tests to differentiate the causes of anemia), perform invasive tests (test for Helicobacter Pylori), and will also be able to make an earlier decision about referral for specialist treatment.
