New ministerial team will look into women's health security

The Team consists of:

1) Chairman of the Team - Wojciech Konieczny, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health;

2) Team members:

(a) Prof. Ewa Helwich, MD - national consultant in neonatology,

(b) Prof. Miroslaw Wielgoś, MD - national consultant in perinatology,

(c) Prof. Dr. n. med. and n. o zdr. Grazyna Iwanowicz-Palus - national consultant in gynecological-obstetrical nursing,

(d) Prof. Ewa Wender-Ożegowska, M.D. - head of the Gynecological-Obstetrical Reproductive Clinic of the Heliodor Święcicki Clinical Hospital of the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań,

(e) Professor Piotr Sieroszewski, MD - head of the 1st Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Medical University of Lodz,

(f) Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Kotfis - University Clinical Hospital No. 2 of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin,

(g) Michalina Drejza, MD - President of the Polish Society for Sexual and Reproductive Health,

h) Kamila Ciastek-Majtyka - vice president of the National Association of Family Midwives,

(i) Joanna Pietrusiewicz - president of the "Parenting for Humanity" Foundation,

(j) Anna Furmaniuk - vice president of the Board of Directors of the Matecznik Foundation,

(k) Advocate Kamila Ferenc - Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Women and Family Planning,

(l) Joanna Gzyra-Iskandar - spokeswoman against violence against women for the Feminoteka Foundation,

(m) Dr. Magdalena Środa - representative of the Women's Congress,

(n) a representative of the Patient Ombudsman,

(o) Deputy Director of the Department of Public Health at the Ministry of Health,

(p) Director of the Department of Medical Personnel Development at the Ministry of Health,

(q) Director of the Treatment Department at the Ministry of Health,

(r) Director of the Department of Health Care Services at the National Health Fund,

(s) a representative of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tarification;

3) Secretary of the Team - a representative of the Department of Public Health at the Ministry of Health.

The Team is tasked with developing proposals for measures to improve women's health security, with particular emphasis on procreative health and perinatal care.
