Poles did not rush to vaccination points ...

Poles did not rush to vaccination points - although the daily number of vaccinations according to the governmental website Vaccinate is about 30,000 (this is the average for the entire vaccination period), last week we managed to slightly exceed this ceiling only twice, and on some working days (Monday - less than a thousand, Wednesday - less than five thousand) injections were like a medicine.
It can be optimistically assumed that the "brake" vaccination with the second booster may be waiting for the appearance of new preparations at the vaccination points, taking into account the early variants of the omicron. The first vaccine - Moderny - has already been approved for use by Great Britain. A similar decision is expected in Switzerland and, of course, in the European Union. It is known that EMA meetings on this matter will be held on September 1. At the same meeting, the EU medicines agency is to deal with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
Although experts strongly recommend that people from risk groups take the "old" vaccines and boost their immunity now, if only because the beginning of the school year may bring a new, high wave of unrecognized infections, many people want to protect themselves already modified vaccine - although it is not known when they will actually appear in Poland and what their actual availability will be (Moderna signaled that it would not be able to meet the size of the order for the British market, the United Kingdom also convinces people from risk groups that you need to vaccinate yourself with widely available preparations).
