- I have decided to leave the annual prescription in the reimbursement law, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski wrote on Twitter. Originally, the draft of a major amendment to the Reimbursement Law adopted today by the Parliamentary Health Committee included provisions that meant the elimination of such prescriptions.

"After consultations with Deputy Minister Maciej Miłkowski and the leadership of the Ministry of Health, as well as discussions with national consultant of family medicine Agnieszka Mastalerz-Migas, Tomasz Zieliński of the Zielonogórski Alliance and Minister of Digitization Janusz Cieszynski, I have made the decision to leave the annual prescription in the reimbursement law. Thank you for the very substantive dialogue," reads the Health Ministry chief's entry.
The decision was met with positive reactions from the medical community, among others.
"This is good news for patients," tweeted Supreme Medical Chamber spokesman Jakub Kosikowski.
"Thank you for listening to the experts' opinions and including the annual prescription in the reimbursement law," reads the post posted by the Zielonogórska Porozumienie.
