The Minister of Health has appointed a Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Medical Entities Supervised by the Minister of Defense. The newly created position was assumed by Prof. Jerzy Sienko, MD, affiliated with the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin.

The Plenipotentiary will be tasked with initiating and coordinating cooperation with medical institutions under the authority of the Minister of Defense, as well as ensuring smooth and effective relations between these institutions and the Ministry of Health.
In carrying out the assigned tasks, the Plenipotentiary will be supported by both organizational units of the Ministry of Health, as well as entities subordinate to and supervised by the Minister of Health. According to the order, these entities are obliged to provide him with the necessary information and documents, within the scope of their competence.
The Plenipotentiary will submit an annual report on its activities to the Minister of Health.
The ordinance took effect one day after its promulgation, on July 24, 2025.
