Until the end of this year, you can take advantage of the Prevention 40+ program, the Health Ministry reminds. More than 4 million people have already participated in the program. 3.5 million have taken advantage of the free examination packages, and 600,000 have filled out a questionnaire and received an e-referral.

The program, which is financed by the National Health Fund, will last until the end of 2024. You can make a referral for the tests yourself by filling out a questionnaire in the Internet Patient Account or in the myIKP application. All people over the age of 40 who have not previously benefited from the Prevention 40 PLUS program, or who have benefited from it once, but at least 12 months have passed since their first examination under the program, are eligible to participate. There is no upper age limit.
As it turns out, ladies are more likely to get tested. Data from the National Health Service shows that more than 60 percent of those who already have test results are women. It is worth mentioning, however, that the testing package for men additionally includes a PSA test, which is essential for detecting prostatic hypertrophy and prostate cancer.
