The National Health Fund will more easily verify the right to health care services
Published Jan. 3, 2023 08:17
The draft regulation provides the National Health Fund with a set of information necessary to confirm the right to health care services to persons who have this right. Compared to the existing solutions, provided for in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of June 7, 2022 on the detailed scope and method of transferring data on persons covered by health insurance and payers of contributions, persons receiving benefits granted on the basis of provisions on sickness or accident insurance, persons applying for for an old-age or disability pension and employees on unpaid leave (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 1221), the draft regulation adds the obligation for ZUS and KRUS to provide data on persons receiving a survivor's pension who are under 18 years of age.
Including in the set of data provided by ZUS and KRUS to the Fund the scope of information on persons receiving a survivor's pension who are under 18 years of age, will allow the Fund to determine the current status of these persons in the Central Register of Insured Persons, which will enable easy verification of the right of these persons to healthcare services. The number of submitted declarations and documents will decrease significantly, and thus the burden on the Fund resulting from the need to verify them and undertake explanatory proceedings in doubtful cases will decrease.
