Civil defense

First of all, because it is a more capacious issue than "health education," and at the same time includes mainly health education and behavior in situations of various disasters. And the latter issue is even more alien to Polish youth. And various socially necessary content can be introduced into it. Besides, it is more difficult to attack than health education. By the way, if Ukraine fell and war crossed our eastern border it would be good for Polish women to know how to protect and defend themselves. But Poland already has a great many health problems that can at least partially be reduced by education, starting with drug addiction, alcoholism, obesity, anti-vaccine movements. In order for a doctor to be against these things, he must first have forgotten the responsibilities of his profession. Having as many years as I have, I know that in politics sometimes smaller issues have to be sacrificed for bigger ones, but also that it is possible to maneuver so as not to be the face of something that, by virtue of the medical pledge, one should not be the face of.
Being as old as I am (77) and being quite fit, I am very surprised at the hunters that they do not want to undergo medical examinations at this age, and even more surprised at the doctor who supports them in this. At this age one has cataracts, which can still be detected by oneself, but one has glaucoma, which one does not feel until one goes blind. Earlier examination allows you to detect it and save your eyesight. One also has Alzheimer's disease (just now the movie "Go on!", whose 77-year-old heroine suffers from it, has been released and you can see what it consists of in its mild form). In this disease, one is not aware of it. But also, if detected earlier, one can try to inhibit its development. In civil defense, hunters happen to be useful (e.g., during resettlement, and not because they have shotguns, but because, unlike the typical bourgeois, they have experience with field behavior, but only if they are fit.
