The radio station, which probably considers itself the most progressive, has published a documentary series that stigmatizes medical experiments, although there is also a caveat in the "small print" that not all of them are still being performed in accordance with what the author of the series believes considered valid. However, as the title suggests, the series is measured and undermines trust in any medical experiments. The legal effects are almost here, as the new act on clinical trials is to prohibit any form of co-financing of treatment under the experiment by the person who is subjected to it. The problem is that in many cases in the Polish system there is no form of public funding for such treatment, and there are many clinical situations in which there is no recognized non-experimental treatment. The possibility of such treatment is currently subject to a rather complex procedure, the so-called "therapeutic experiment", in which the doctor must write a draft of the experiment and obtain the approval of the bioethics committee and have appropriate insurance (all these activities without remuneration, just so as not to leave the patient without treatment).

Without medical experiments, the average human life lasted less than 30 years, and thanks to them, it is already over 70. It is bizarre to think that an experiment must be successful right away. The first attempts at bone marrow transplantation in the treatment of leukemia were in 1938. The first attempts in which a temporary effect was obtained were in 1956. The first publication proving that it could cure leukemia in humans was in 1977. Then, out of 100 patients, 17 people survived the procedure , including 13 over a year without leukemia. Recently, the number of one and a half million such procedures in the world has been exceeded, and in Poland itself there is already a small city of people saved by this procedure. All this would not have happened if it hadn't been for the failed experiments that were carried out for years, eliminating successive errors, in order to finally achieve therapeutic success. Which, by the way, still does not apply to all patients and still requires further experiments. There is no other way to develop medicine.

Undertaking experimental treatment in Poland is already very risky for a doctor, and now it will be even more dangerous. It's easier to refer the patient to a hospice.
