The Council of Ministers today adopted changes to the Medicines 75+ program. The Prime Minister recalled that so far about 3 million people have benefited from the program. Now, thanks to the adopted amendment, about 16 million people will benefit from it - including, children, young people, seniors, pensioners.
- We care about the youngest generation, which is our future, but we also care about those who have worked for our present. This care is about making sure that the elderly do not wonder if they can afford to buy a prescription," M.Morawiecki said. He added that this is a kind of intergenerational solidarity program. Its implementation would not be possible without a fundamental change in the state budget and a completely new approach to health care. - We want to support priceless health by expanding our programs. Adopted today at the Council of Ministers, this is another billions of zlotys that are secured in a well-managed state budget," the prime minister concluded.

At the same time, the availability of medicines will be expanded from more than 2,000 to 4,000 items.
- The 75+ program has cost PLN 4.5 billion since 2016. In 2022, we spent nearly 800 million on this purpose. We will spend an additional PLN 1.6 billion to expand the program. The total will be PLN 2.4 billion," said Adam Niedzielski.
