The Supreme Medical Council continues its dialogue with the National Health Fund, seeking to implement solutions to streamline the reimbursement process and reduce the bureaucratic burden on doctors. In connection with the National Health Fund's inspections, the president of the Supreme Medical Council, Lukasz Jankowski, sent a letter to NFZ President Filip Nowak. In it, he requested a list of medicines where doctors face the greatest difficulties in determining reimbursement levels.
According to President Jankowski, such a compilation will help raise doctors' awareness of the need for a detailed evaluation of reimbursement rules, and, above all, may become the starting point for building a modern system that will automate the process to a greater extent.
- The medical association has been pushing for years for the implementation of an automatic reimbursement system that would reduce bureaucracy, reduce the risk of errors and allow us doctors to focus on what matters most - the health of patients. A doctor is in charge of treating, not pricing drugs. With data from the National Health Service, we will be able to better identify where the problems lie, where doctors waste the most time, and where they risk financial penalties. We want to make this system more transparent and efficient for all parties," stresses Lukasz Jankowski.
NIL's initiative aims not only to support doctors in their daily work, but also to speed up work on a system that will improve the quality of care and increase reimbursement efficiency in Poland in the long term.
