Takeda Pharma Ltd. with new CEO

Sameh Rafla brings to the organization comprehensive international experience in team building and setting patient-focused goals and directions. Prior to joining the Polish team, he led the Takeda Europe and Canada (EUCAN) transplant franchise, where he was responsible for the company's entry into the transplant field.

In his career, Sameh Rafla managed Takeda's product portfolio in the EUCAN Rare Metabolic Diseases and Rare Immunology areas, and at the global level was responsible for the introduction and development of new products as Global Head of New Products. Prior to joining Takeda, he served as Business Unit Director at Nestlé and as General Manager responsible for four markets at Galderma.

The project uses an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to diagnose rare diseases faster.

Sameh Rafla is a pharmacist with an MBA from the International Institute for Management DevelopmentBusiness School in Switzerland. He holds Egyptian and Canadian citizenship.
