Support for patients with chronic diseases
The People and Medicine Foundation Conference is an event designed to help patients with chronic diseases. Most of the speakers are people with chronic diseases who lead active lives despite their burdens. Sharing experiences is invaluable for those who have to deal with similar challenges every day. "Theoretical knowledge is important, but the real power lies in the authentic stories of those affected by the disease." - emphasizes Joanna Twardak, leader of the "Tame the Disease" project.
This year, the conference's thematic blocks cover four areas that people with chronic diseases face every day. "Meet others who, like you, are looking for motivation to counter chronic diseases. Together, let's create a community of support and understanding," stressed Alicja Sekret, a member of the Board of Directors of the People and Medicine Foundation and leader of the Patients to Patients project.
A Common Language For All
This year's Conference will be supported by the Deaf World Foundation, allowing sign language interpretation of the entire event. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone can actively participate, regardless of their mode of communication.
